VoIP Phone chargingCharging the Phone
To charge your phone, simply plug one end of your power supply into the base of the phone and plug the other end into an electrical outlet (100~240V).

The battery strength indicator in the upper right of the display scrolls when the phone is properly charging. When the phone is fully charged and the phone is powered off, the message Fully Charged! appears on the display. The battery fully charges in about 2 - 3 hours.

A fully charged phone has about 3 hours of talk time. Standby time lasts for about 40 - 80 hours.

Note: It is normal for the battery and charger to be warm during charging.

Switching the Phone On/Off
Switch the phone on and enter standby mode by pressing and holding the Power key. An animation appears when you are successful. Switch the phone off by pressing and holding the Power key. The display is blank when you are successful.

Associate and Register Your Phone:
To use your BroadVoice WiFi phone, you must turn it on, associate the phone with an access point (AP) and register the phone with BroadVoice. Once this process is completed, you can immediately start making calls. In most cases, when you turn the unit on for the first time, this whole process takes place automatically in a very short time. If you have turned on the phone and the phone display’s screen saver image appears, then the phone has successfully associated with an AP, obtained an IP address and registered with BroadVoice, and you can start using the phone. Otherwise, you will have to perform a Wireless Scan.

To associate and register your phone, follow these steps:

  1. Power up your computer network, including your cable/DSL modem and your Access Point/router.

  2. Turn on your phone by holding the Power key for a few seconds.

  3. You phone will initially display “Connecting to…” and will scan for an available AP.

  4. You phone will next display “Registering to…” after it makes a network connection.

  5. If the phone beeps once and its screen saver imageappears on the LCD, the phone has successfully associated with an AP, obtained an IP address and registered with BroadVoice.
You can use your phone immediately if you have successfully received this message.

  6. If the phone has not successfully registered, then do a wireless scan and configure Static IP (DHCP) as necessary.

  7. For more information on these procedures, see Scanning for an Access Point (AP) and Configuring for Static IP (DHCP) .

Wireless Scan: Scanning for an Access Point (AP)
NOTE: You only need to perform a wireless scan if your phone did not successfully register.

  6. Four options will display for storing your AP's SSID. Highlight one of the four SSID locations and select Save. A status message (Ok) will display which indicates the success of the operation.
