Installation of Router & Phone Adapter

DSL/PPPoE set up

Follow the steps below to setup the Router & Phone Adapter for your PPPoE Internet connection.
 
The easiest way is to start by connecting a PC iBroadVoice Router & Phone Adapter. You can move the PC to a router/hub after PPPoE is established.


  1. Contact a BroadVoice Customer Service Representative at to obtain the Admin Log In password for your Router & Phone Adapter.

  2. Setup your network according to the Figure1 below. Be sure to connect your PC via an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of the Router & Phone Adapter.

  3. Plug the power adapter into the Router & Phone Adapter. The red LED on top of the adapter will blink until these PPPoE settings are completed.

  4. Reboot your PC.

  5. In an address bar of an open Internet browser type: 10.10.10.1 and hit enter.

  6. Enter the Admin password provided to you by BroadVoice into the Log In dialogue box and click Login. This will open the GrandStream Configuration page.

  7. Scroll down to the PPPoE section and enter the PPPoE account I.D. provided to you by your Internet service provider.

  8. Hit the Tab key on your keyboard enter the PPPoE password for your Internet service account in the next field.

  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  10. Click on the Update button.

  11. The page will return with a message "Your configuration changes have been saved. They will take effect on next reboot."

  12. Click on the link to "Click to view your changes"

  13. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Reboot button.

  14. Surf the web! Your Router & Phone Adapter is now configured to provide your PPPoE Login information to access your Internet service.

  15. Please return to the BroadVoice installations instructions or Figure 2 below if you are utilizing a router, hub or switch to complete your network setup. As a reminder, the router, hub or switch connects to the LAN port of the Router & Phone Adapter. The Adapter is a DHCP server/router and will provide IP addresses for use with a network switch.
