To configure the SPA-962 to work with BroadVoice, please complete
the following steps.
- Confirm that the power is plugged into the adapter and delivering power.
- Press the Setup button on the phone. Scroll down the menu and select Factory Reset.
Select Yes to confirm.
- Press the Setup button again and scroll down the menu. Select Network. Write down
the Current IP address.
- In a browser copy and paste the following into the address bar with the IP ADDRESS
from step 3 where indicated but without the <<>>:
http://<<IPADDRESS>>/admin/upgrade?http://config.broadvoice.com:8080/spa962-5.2.2.SCb.bin
- The screen on the phone should read upgrade is in progress. Please do not interrupt
the process.
- The Linksys configuration page will turn white with an option to click on either
Basic or Advanced. Once the LCD screen comes back, click on Advanced.
- Click on the Provisioning tab.
- In the Profile Rule field, hi-light and delete any of its contents.
- Hi-light, copy and paste the following string into the now empty Profile Rule field:
http://config.broadvoice.com:8080/$MA.cfg
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Submit all Changes.
- The screen will turn white with a short message stating “SPA
is updating your configuration. Unit may reset” and that the Sipura
configuration page will return in 5 seconds.
- If the page returns with a request for a User Login and Password, simply click Cancel
and return to the Linksys configuration page browser.
- Your IP phone should now be fully configured and have a dial tone. The extension
1 button should now be green, which indicates your service is ready.

Toubleshooting

If the extension button is not green:
- Power cycle your IP phone by hitting the Setup button, scroll down, and select Reboot.
- Confirm that the IP phone is reciving IP. Hit the Setup button, scroll down, and
select Network. The current DHCP provided IP address of the IP phone should be listed
under "Current IP"
- If no IP address is discernable, reboot your entire network including modem, router/switch
and the Linksys IP phone in that order.
