Customer Support Representatives

BroadVoice is seeking outstanding Customer Support Representatives. Customer Support is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving customer technical and administrative problems over the phone and via e-mail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interact with customers by phone, e-mail or online chat concerning various home networking issues.

  • Work closely with Network Operations Center Engineers to escalate or resolve end user problems.

  • Responsible for closing trouble tickets.

  • Provide hands on support of customer care initiatives such as automated provisioning, billing, order tracking and detailed account management.

  • Other duties as assigned

A Customer Support Representative must have excellent communication and organizational skills, a manner that instills customer confidence in BroadVoice’s products and services; display a rigorous work ethic, and possess the initiative and independent thinking to thrive in a rapidly growing and dynamic start-up environment.

Target qualifications and pre-requisites include:

  • At least 1 to 3 years of customer service and/or help desk experience. Field support experience is also acceptable.

  • Formal training/experience in home and small office networking and/or router technology desired. Windows operating systems knowledge required, and Apple operating systems knowledge a plus.

Specific Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge of the following is necessary: basic computer hardware installation/troubleshooting, DHCP, DNS, and basic TCP/IP.

  • Experience troubleshooting home networking issues, SOHO routers, VPN, and Firewalls.

  • Knowledge of SIP a plus.

Prior work in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
